ARUSH K. ANGIRASA, D.P.M., F.A.C.F.A.S.

Dr. Arush Angirasa, has been in private practice since 2005. He specializes in foot and ankle trauma and reconstructive surgery, including fractures, total ankle implants, Charcot reconstruction, complex revision and limb salvage.

He graduated from the prestigious University of Chicago with an undergraduate degree, which included 4 years of research in the Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Chicago Hospitals. Subsequently, he attended Scholl College/Chicago Medical School followed by residency at Loyola University Chicago Orthopedic Surgery department, where he was under the tutelage of several distinguished podiatric and orthopedic surgeons. He had the privilege of spending over one year learning and training under Dr. Michael Pinzur, a preeminent Foot and Ankle Orthopaedic Surgeon, and a world renowned expert in Charcot reconstruction and foot/ankle reconstructive surgery.

He is currently partner at Southwest Orthopaedic Group, and clinical assistant professor at the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio.

He is an active consultant and national lecturer for several companies and educational forums, with several peer reviewed original research publications.

When not working, his hobbies include guitar playing, sports and athletics, and spending time with his family.
